High Ranking Non-Commissioned Officer at Naval Air Station Joint Reserve Base (NAS Fort Worth JRB) In Fort Worth, Texas Has Been Handing Out Official Navy Business Cards With The Bible Verse, John 3:16,
Printed On The Back:

John 3:16

"For God so loved the world, that he gave
his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish,
but have everlasting life"

Why Does This Military Official's Business Card Have
"John 3:16" on the Back?

Why would a high-ranking non-commissioned officer, who reports directly to Commanding Officer Captain Jonathan R. Townsend, be allowed to promote the most famous Bible verse through business cards he hands out for government business?

That's what the Military Religious Freedom Foundation's Mikey Weinstein wants to know. One of his clients sent him those pictures and Weinstein has now sent a letter to Townsend trying to get some answers. (MRFF says it is representing 14 different clients, including 10 Protestants and Roman Catholics, two atheists, one Jew, and one Muslim.)

...........Capt. Townsend, the Military Religious Freedom Foundation (MRFF) now has multiple armed forces complainants on this unfortunate unconstitutional matter, as ignominiously and vividly displayed below, which you and I discussed several hours ago earlier this seems quite clear that the complaints of our MRFF clients regarding the official business card apparently being widely utilized by your Command Master Chief, Devin L. Kroshus, to represent his titular position in the U.S. Navy as the most senior enlisted person in your entire command at NAS Forth Worth JRB is in COMPLETE violation, inter alia, of the No Establishment Clause of the First Amendment of the Bill of Rights of the United States Constitution, its construing Federal and State caselaw as well as numerous DoD/Navy Directives, Instructions and Regulations ......Captain, with all due respect, sir, can you even IMAGINE the enormity of the unbridled fury and outcry if the back of that official Navy business card had likewise brazenly displayed a citation from the Koran, the Book of Satan or from a well-recognized atheist text?....why would it be ok for your Command Master Chief to BLATANTLY and shamefully proselytize a foundational New Testament biblical citation from the Gospel of Jesus Christ, such as John 3:16, if it would NOT similarly be allowed for all other faith and non-faith traditions to likewise do so?!...if this matter is found to be true, your Command Master Chief has created, as a State Actor, an illegal alloy of his favorite version of Christianity with the very fabric of the United States Navy.....such a deplorable action is illegal and unconstitutional.... . Capt. Townsend, please call me back soonest, sir, and let me know what you find out and what you are planning to timely do about this disappointing travesty in your responsible capacity as the Commanding Officer of NAS Fort Worth JRB......thank you, Michael L. "Mikey" Weinstein, Esq., Founder and President, MRFF ...standing by.

* Capt. Townsend has responded several times to Mikey in writing over the last two days, and will be consulting his JAG (Judge Advocate General).

MRFF is awaiting a more formal response.

I need to express my appreciation to Mr. Weinstein and the MRFF in dealing with a horrible situation with a former Air Force Academy chaplain. I was in despair and hesitant to trust anyone after being victimized. With so much resistance I knew I needed a trustworthy and stalwart advocate, and that’s exactly what I have found. The value of this specific type of expertise can not be overstated and is unmatched by other individuals. I would also like to sincerely thank those who support the MRFF’s mission; you are part of an important work.

Veterans Day Thank You to The MRFF Foundation

From: U.S. Army Soldier's Parents' E-Mail Address Withheld
Subject: Veterans Day Thank You to The MRFF Foundation
Date: November 11, 2017 at 4:35:11 PM MST
To: Mikey Weinstein

Dear Mr. Micky Weinstein and the MRFF.

Our daughter (name and rank withheld) is in the U.S. Army and was helped by the MRFF over 6 months ago at Fort (name withheld), (state withheld). She was being bad bullied for being Roman Catholic by her (unit supervisor's title and rank withheld) who is Christian evangelist. What she was forced to go through was very mean and hurtful. As her parents we did not know where to turn to to help our daughter.

But her battle buddy knew different. She had been helped by the MRFF 2 years before over something also bad because she was not evangelist. She told her to call you all at the MRFF. (daughter's name withheld) did this with our blessing. Even though after midnight Mr. M. Weinstein took the phone call. Thanks to the MRFF she was given the fast help she needed to stop the anti-R. Catholic harassment from her Army boss. She is now thriving and even been promoted. She names the MRFF as the reason she is and why she is now so happy!

As (name withheld)'s mom and dad we just wanted to thank all of you at the MRFF on this Veterans Day 2017. Our love to all of you. Thank you all for all you do!
Our family will never forget what you did to help our proud soldier daughter (name withheld).
May the Lord bless all of you. As our family does.

(*Please do not use our names or other contact info. Or our daughter's because of those mean-hearteds which attack the MRFF. But we would like our words of thanks to be seen by all who might ever need the MRFF. And their families and all the others who support our troops.)

(U.S. Army Soldier's parents' names and address withheld)
