Liberty University Disgrace: Mission Accomplice

Wednesday, May 23, 2018

By: Mikey Weinstein | Military Religious Freedom Foundation
Date: May 23, 2018

In another disgraceful blow to the eroding pretense of the rule of law, the grotesquely misnamed Liberty University took the gloves off and confirmed their endgame goal - a systemic hostile takeover of the U.S. Military by lunatic, fundamentalist Christians like Chaplain Col. Dr. Steven Keith (USAF Ret.), director of Liberty University's Center for Chaplaincy in the Rawlings School of Divinity, and his cabal of deranged endtime warriors. For all their bloviating about the terrors of radical Islam, they've conveniently forgotten that there's a term for weaponized religious crusaders unleashed to bring about a violent apocalyptic vision.

It's called Jihad.

Notice the dark injunction in Keith's glimmering eye as he addressed this year's Liberty University military graduates — not just chaplains, but those destined for ALL areas of military service: "God has divine appointments set up for you. He's the King of Kings; He's the Lord of Lords; He's the Commander in Chief. He has called us to be His missionaries, His voice."

Yep, he, a former USAF officer, just declared the United States Military to be a weapon of biblical retribution, in direct conflict with what all current USAF members, including chaplains, affirm to uphold in Air Force Instruction (AFI) 1-1 Section 2.12.

Section 2.12 states unequivocally:

Balance of Free Exercise of Religion and Establishment Clause.
Leaders at all levels must balance constitutional protections for their own free exercise of religion, including individual expressions of religious beliefs, and the constitutional prohibition against governmental establishment of religion. They must ensure their words and actions cannot reasonably be construed to be officially endorsing or disapproving of, or extending preferential treatment for any faith, belief, or absence of belief. (Emphasis Added.)

Of course, there are a few minor differences – instead of strapping homemade explosives to themselves, these guys are merely commandeeringthe most awesome and terrifying concentration of lethal weaponry that the world has ever seen by orders of magnitude, our U.S. Military.

Now, once upon a time we had leaders who respected the rule of law and the constitution in our secular democracy. But this wild idealism is just too much to dream for in the new dystopian hellhole of Trumpmerica.

The Military Religious Freedom Foundation (MRFF), of which I am Founder and President, has been the leading opposition to this encroachment of religious extremism in the armed forces.

With Psycho Pompeo now teamed up with Jihadist John Bolton, a neocon slug so extreme in his views that his own fellow warmongers abhor him, and now everybody's favorite justice-obstructing torturer, "Gestapo Gina" Haspel in the fold at the CIA, we've rounded back up the greatest hits from Dubya's reign of atrocities in the ultimate rehash. Draining the swamp, huh? Just another round on the Orwellian scary-go-round circus of absurdities that defines the new dark age that Liberty University's Steven Keith and his apologists thrive within.

Draft-dodging cowards like Bolton and Trump are all too eager to send other people to die for their pusillanimous pissing contests. Observe how people who have served such as McMaster and Mattis, and even to an extent John McCain, get sidelined in favor of the coastal-elite war crime club. Maybe it's the religious fervor, which is perplexing given Trump's hopeless ignorance on that subject. It certainly isn't the result of any loyalty to the United States. Bolton famously quipped about not wanting to die in a rice paddy, which has eerie echoes to the Trumpian sentiment of avoiding STDs during his unprotected sex with porn stars as his own "Personal Vietnam." It's the same story every time. Wave the yellow ribbon, give platitudes about service and supporting the troops, then treat them as disposable cannon fodder for the latest insane whim. For Christ, of course.

Now that the fundamentalist Christian jihadists have no pesky barriers of constitutionality to worry about, they've entered safe harbor for the latest phase of their destructive orgy. We know EXACTLY what happens when religion and the state co-mingle in all but a ceremonious role. And now Liberty University wants us to accelerate, headstrong and pell-mel, down that dark and dangerous path saturated with the spilt blood of those who refuse to bend their knees, confess allegiance and submit themselves to the brutal, weaponized Christianity they teach and spew.

Look, my friends, DO NOT BE AN ACCOMPLICE! If you drive the getaway car for bank robbers, you ARE a bank robber. Silence and inaction are simply complicity. We must ALL resist this base, evil, vile attempt to imprint our American military with the stain of Christian religious extremism.

The Military Religious Freedom Foundation (MRFF) stands ready to fight this takeover, and implores all those with integrity, courage, humanity, compassion and respect for the rule of law to join us.

Re: Congressman Lee Zeldin writes letter to Fort Campbell In Response to MRFF's Formal Complaint! The Forward Covers MRFF!

Hey, Mikey –

There are SO many races here that I don't have a dog in,  but I am so happy to have this window you provide thru which to peep, to see your good work, in all its pain and passion.  I weirdly feel a sense of pride and  espirit de corps, vicarious as it were, thru your fierce determinism, patriotism and your thoughtful (thoughtless?) willingness to throw yourself in front of oppression, usually massive in scale, in defense of the little guy.
I am so proud of my association with you and your organization.  Surely you already have an awareness, but let me reinforce my presumption by saying you positively impact so many more people, like myself for example, than those many whom you so effectively directly advocate.
You, your efforts and basic humanism makes ME a better person and encourages hope and solidarity of a sort, in my existential pursuits of progressive advance my own local sphere of influence.
Hmm.  That was a tad sappy, but I'm pretty sure you get it.

"Stiff Necked Jews"
at Fort Campbell

Monday, May 21, 2018

Micheal Weinstein your little plan to cause trouble for the spirit filled followers of Christ Jesus at Fort Campbell will fail.

Christ Jesus in Acts branded jews a stiff necks people and your neck 'Mr. jewgooder" is the stiffest of all hellbound jews.

The jews at Fort Campbell don't need new leader.

They already have a new leader. It is Christ Jesus! Halleluyah and Huzzah! His Army is America's army.

They jews don't need no leader other than the only True Son of Man. (John 14:6)

Stiff neck jews like you and that Mize lady deserve our pity but that is all.

Response from MRFF Advisory Board Member, Mike Farrell

You poor, pathetic fake Christian. It's not spirit that fills you and your fellow followers, it's dread.

You are clearly too ignorant to recognize the difference between devotion and revulsion, which is what any genuine Christian feels when exposed to the moronic drivel being spewed by fear-filled bigots like you. Those of you who have the audacity to claim to follow Jesus and use the pretense of faith in order to justify the hatred and panic that fills your perverted hearts are beneath contempt.

If you had the brains to comprehend the hypocrisy of your words you;'d be on your knees begging forgiveness instead of wasting your breath and our time.
