The atheistic Military Religious Freedom Foundation (MRFF) filed a complaint contending that a Christian commander with the United States Air Force should be fired and imprisoned for expressing his faith.

Earlier this week, MRFF – led by Michael "Mikey" Weinstein – filed the formal complaint with U.S. Defense Secretary James Mattis, accusing the newly installed commander at California's Edwards Air Force Base (AFB), Brig. Gen. E. John Teichert, of multiple crimes.

"[Teichert] engaged in] intolerance/proselytizing; violations of DoD diversity & civil liberties policies; and Air Force standards violations," MRFF’s complaint states.

Air Force general attacked because he urges believers to pray at lunch

Thursday, August 16, 2018

By: Michael Ashcroft | God Reports Blog
Date: 8/16/2018

Attorney Michael Weinstein, who "trolls" open Christians on military bases, is now attacking Brigadier General John Teichert, newly installed wing commander at Edwards Air Force Base, because his personal website calls for Christians to pray at lunchtime for the United States.

Weinstein called for a military investigation of the "disgraceful, illegal and brazen promotion of (Treichert's) (sic) personal flavor of his weaponized version of Christianity."

Weinstein is the leader of the Military Religious Freedom Foundation, which contrary to what the name suggests suppresses — not defends — religious freedom. Weinstein's complaint to Defense Secretary James Mattis supposedly represents 41 airmen from Edwards Air Force Base just north of Los Angeles in California.

Military Atheist Organization Wants to Imprison Air Force Commander For his Christian Faith

Friday, August 17, 2018

By: Nate Brown | The Christian Journal
Date: 8/17/2018

The MRFF lodged a complaint against the Brig. General because of his personal website. The Christian Brig. General post's links to articles, Christmas videos, and Scriptures to his website called; Prayer at Lunchtime for the United States.

The complainant argues that the website, which is personally owned by the Brig. General not publicly owned, is in violation of the Air Force and Defense Department rules.

A brief description on the website about Brig. Gen. Teichert reads; "John is an active duty Brigadier General who has served in the United States Air Force since 1994, and who was saved by grace through faith in Christ in 2004. He has commanded at the wing, group, and squadron levels, and is currently serving as Air Force commander. The Lord has blessed his career while burdening his heart with the need for our nation to return to its Christian foundation. He serves alongside his amazing wife of 20 years and their three incredible children. It is their desire to fully invest their lives to maximize their impact on people and on our nation for the Lord."

"Overton Window Moved: Anti Christian Militants demand ARREST of Edwards AFB Commander for profession of Christianity"

Thursday, August 16, 2018

By: Fossten | Air Force Times

It's begun, folks.  They're coming for Christians and they want us in jail.  To quote Arcadehero:

Well he should be unpersoned for desiring the well-being of others.
Now raping children, honor killing wayward teens and making naughty time with the family goat when the Mrs. Has a headache (after beating the ever loving shit out of her) are all A-OK as it is what the Prophet Of Islam would do.

Michael "Mikey" Weinstein and his dubiously named Military Religious Freedom Foundation (MRFF) filed a formal complaint this week with Defense Secretary James Mattis alleging that Brig. Gen. E. John Teichert, a Christian and the newly installed commander of the 412 Test Wing at Edwards Air Force Base in California, engaged in "intolerance/proselytizing; violations of DoD diversity & civil liberties policies; and Air Force standards violations."
In a press release on Monday, the virulently anti-Christain organization screeched that Teichert "should be doing time behind prison bars, not commanding a wing wearing general's stars."

"I'm Sorry"

To: MRFF

To whom it may concern,
I am a Christian minister in the church of God denomination. I love my religion and feel it has saved me. I realize you disagree and that's ok. Every man has a right to his/her beliefs. I was reading some hate mail you posted on your site and was deeply disappointed in people who claim Christ but surely don't accept his teachings. I wanted to reach out and say that I am sorry people of my religion have sent such damning emails. This is not right. While I can't support you I do respect you and accept you. I just wanted you to know not all Christians are judging and hateful. I am actively praying for your organization to prosper and for you to be blessed and of course I pray for Israel.

In Christ's service

But first I hope they hold you down and make you watch while they do it all first to your wifey. Fear This Weinstein. Christianity=America=US armed forces! Hoo-Ahh!

They should let the Brigadier General castrate you on live TV.
Hell awaits you Weinstein. Christ wills it for your unspeakable crimes against His Church.

And the fires long for you. Just as they consumed your nosey ancestors in the Reich.

May all your descendants be stillborn. May the screams of your children echo into eternity.

It is my belief, that somewhere along the way, you lost your purpose. You have nothing to gain by pursuing people with purpose in such haste and with such hate. So, a Colonel, who encourages his troops and checks on them.deserves prison time just bc he puts God in there? Do u feel the same for the Muslims who try to FORCE their religion on others? I think the bone u need to pick is with God himself! He will win that one, sir.

PS...I teach at a Christian school and I pray with kids every day and tell them about Jesus!! They will go into this sad world and do the same. I would love for  u to come and meet my polite, loving, hardworking Jesus freaks. Oh…are those bad attributes to have??

Response from MRFF Advisory Board Member Mike Farrell

Hi (name withheld),

You’re quite wrong. Mikey's purpose is clear and he’s about pursuing it every day. You’re also wrong about what he does and
how he does it. No one here opposes an officer having his or her private religious belief. What we want honored is the
fact that everyone has his or her private belief and it may not be the same as that of the superior officer. And that, of course,
is because we have what is called the freedom of religion or the freedom to believe as one chooses in this country.
Of course we would oppose it if an officer who happened to be of the Islamic faith used his or her position to impose a personal
belief system on those in subordinate positions. Just as we would oppose an officer who happened to be an atheist doing the same
thing. And we have. But of course the curses and slurs and brickbats and judgments come out when the person crossing the line between church and state does so to promote Christianity and we have the audacity to raise the same objection.
If the kids in your school are there by choice and want to become "hardworking Jesus freaks," as you put it, that’s their decision – or that of their parents – and we'd have no problem with it. That’s what freedom of belief means.

It just seems that when someone chooses a route different from that prescribed by those who consider themselves to be the true believers, some Christians seem to have difficulty accepting it. Why is that?

Your efforts to suppress the good in this world are just plain sad...... will pray for you

(name withheld)

Response from MRFF Advisory Board Member Mike Farrell

Hi (name withheld),

No need to be sad. Praying for us is appreciated. It would be better though, if you understood what we were doing. Your assumption that we’re somehow trying to "suppress the good in the word" is simply wrong.

What we're doing is protecting the constitutionally guaranteed right of every American to be free in determining his or her belief and not have someone else’s choice imposed on him or her.

Somehow, some who believe they have the "right" belief system think it's necessary to push that on everyone else, whether it's wanted or not. We think the freedom of religious or non-religious choice is an important one to protect. So that's what we're doing.

For you, or those who tell you what to think, to somehow determine that what we’re doing is "suppress(ing) the good in this world" simply boggles the mind.

Think a bit, maybe read our mission statement, then maybe you'll see how wrong you are to be sad at what we're doing.
