MRFF's ACTIVISM HAS IMPACT!
FUNDAMENTALIST PASTOR JEFFRESS
CAVES TO MRFF!
FIRST BAPTIST DALLAS CHURCH REMOVES MILITARY INSIGNIAS PROMOTING CHRISTIAN EVENT FROM THEIR WEBSITE!

MRFF's STATEMENT ON FIRST BAPTIST CHURCH DALLAS' REMOVAL OF MILITARY INSIGNIAS IN PROMOTION OF CHRISTIAN EVENT THIS SUNDAY 6/24/18
UPDATE!!! JEFFRESS CAVES!
After MRFF Lead Trial Counsel hand delivers MRFF's demand letters to Pastor Robert Jeffress' fundamentalist Christian Dallas megachurch, it appears the church has backed down from illegally using the official U.S. Military Department Seals in promoting its upcoming June 24th "Freedom Sunday" event.
First Baptist Dallas removed, TODAY, a video and image of the official Military Department Seals from its website promoting the event. Thus, all indications are that these same Seals will NOT be illegally used at this weekend's "Freedom Sunday" event as they had been previously and in DIRECT VIOLATION of the DoD guidance entitled "Important Information and Guidelines About the Use of Department of Defense Seals, Logos, Insignia, and Service Medals."
Robert Jeffress, as a direct consequence of MRFF's demand, will now not be associating his divisive, prejudiced, bigoted, and lie-riddled "America is a Christian Nation" message with the U.S. Armed Forces.

Foundation Says Dallas Church Should Remove Military Seals from Its Freedom Sunday Program
Thursday, June 21, 2018
Robert Jeffress, pastor of the First Baptist Church in Dallas, is at the center of more controversy over an upcoming event called 'Freedom Sunday'.
A YouTube promotional video for the event says there will be "salute to our Armed Forces". The video shows seals from the branches of the military as part of a backdrop.
In a letter delivered to Jeffress' church on Thursday afternoon, the Military Religious Freedom Foundation and its founder, Mikey Weinstein call Jeffress out for "unauthorized use of military insignia", saying they hope to avoid legal action.
"It is very clear. There's nothing ambiguous about this," said Dallas attorney, Randal Mathis, who represents the MRFF. "I certainly hope no formal legal action is necessary, but I'm certainly not ruling that out if the Defense Department doesn't do what we expect."

MRFF LETTER DEMANDS
DoD SEC. MATTIS
ORDER FIRST BAPTIST DALLAS CHURCH TO CEASE
USE OF MILITARY INSIGNIA IN CHRISTIAN EVENT!
"The Military Religious Freedom Foundation (MRFF) officially requests that you expeditiously reach out to Robert Jeffress and/or his church to put an end to his illicit behavior in creating the impression that the U.S. Department of Defense is endorsing their tortured version of revisionist historical Christian primacy"

MRFF LEAD TRIAL COUNSEL,
RANDAL G. MATHIS
SENDS ADDITIONAL LETTER
TO JEFFRESS HIMSELF
"The Foundation's expectation is that you will be hearing today or tomorrow from the Department of Defense, most likely Captain (US Navy) Hallock Mohler, the Executive Secretary to the Secretary of Defense, who has been in communication by telephone today with Mr. Weinstein, concerning legal restrictions that apply to the unauthorized
use of military insignia."

We receive an enormous amount of emails at the Military Religious Freedom Foundation, both from our supporters and detractors.

How dare you stick your jew, atheist, ignorant nose in the planning for FBC Dallas' "Freedom Sunday."
I encourage Dr. Robert Jeffress to completely ignore your stupid, irrational attempt to interfere with the planning for this great service.
